Daniel Gutierrez directs choirs at Nixa High School and Nixa Junior High School and is an active conductor, clinician, and presenter throughout the country. He was named Teacher of the Year for both Springfield Public Schools and Southwest Missouri and was a finalist for the Missouri State Teacher of the Year award. Daniel has received the Springfield Rotary Award for Outstanding Community Service, was recognized in the Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, named a semifinalist for the GRAMMY National Music Educator Award, and is a two-time recipient of the Missouri Choral Directors Association Podium Award.
Daniel has presented for TEDx, regional and national American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) conferences, and various choral workshops across the country. His ensembles have won numerous music festivals and have been invited to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference, Southwest ACDA Conference, the National Conference for Middle Schoool / Junior High Choral Music, and the National ACDA Conference.
