About This Piece
A cry for mercy, a plea for deliverance—Parce Domine is a gripping setting of the ancient Lenten text from Joel 2:17. Dark, resonant harmonies and rhythmic drive propel this work forward, capturing the raw human desperation in its plea: Spare, Lord, spare Your people. The music evokes the weight of divine judgment and the longing for grace.
